Winemaker's Comments
2006 marks another great release of our flagship wine: Contado Mankas Cabernet Sauvignon. A deep ruby color accompanies rich aromas of vanilla, eucalyptus and oak with notes of caramel, nougat, and mocha. Powerful flavors of black cherry, wild berry and white fig characterize the enjoyable and smooth mouth-feel of this wine. Upon deeper examination, spicy notes of clove, sweet peppers and cassis lead to a robust and long finish. This wine is a luscious, full bodied, well balanced accomplice to all food or events of celebration.
