This is the peak season of wine competitions and we are pleased to report that Mankas Hills Vineyards has won yet another award.
On May 27-28 we submitted our 2004 Amelie Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot to the 2006 Critics Challenge. The 2004 Amelie won one of the Critics Awards. Each award includes a brief summary of the judge’s comments which in this case was “Good fruit intensity, soft and forward. Very drinkable now” by Robert Whitley, the Director of the Critics Challenge and publisher of Wine Review Online.
The 2004 Amelie is a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. It is an elegant, lively, and joyful wine that has already captured the attention of many of our customers. You can find out more about it here.
