Welcome to the Mankas Hills Vineyards Blog.
What is a Blog?
Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and used for information exchange with the public. Blogs generally represent the personality of the Web site.
This blog is intended for our customers to find out about what’s going on at Mankas Hills Vineyards. Here you’ll find information about new releases, happenings, news, and so on.
Who am I?
My name is Andrea Rosso. I am one of the partners in Mankas Hills Vineyards. In real life I’m a software developer and since the Internet is my field I am responsible for the website of Mankas Hills Vineyards. I help my father and my uncle in spreading the word about our excellent wines as much as I can. This blog is mostly my take on the various happenings at Mankas Hills Vineyards. I am fascinated by the vine cycle, grape growing, vineyards, and the whole wine making process. I am not a wine connoisseur nor a winemaker. I like cooking, I am a sober wine drinker and I like to do my own pairing of wine and food. I believe that wine and food are the quintessence of our western culture. I like fair priced wines that are elegant and can be enjoyed socially with my friends and my family. I especially enjoy the Mankas Hills Vineyards Cabernets which fit this profile very well.
Why a Blog?
There is something out there called Web 2.0. This is mostly the way to describe how the Internet is changing. It is becoming more interactive, more collaborative. Blogs are a personal and interactive means to publish information on the business without the officiality of the press releases. Blogs are part of the next generation of the web and I truly believe that they allow us to stay in touch with you in a much more personal way. They allow you to post comments online and give us feedback and I urge you to do this as much as possible.
I will try to post updates frequently so keep checking back to find out what’s going on at our Vineyards.
